Solopress has announced a new range of environmentally-friendly print products called Solopress Green.
The new range offers a choice of high-quality products, printed on recycled paper stocks. What’s more, all carbon emissions are offset through investment in climate protection projects.
With options including Business Cards, Flyers & Leaflets, Postcards, Greetings Cards, and Stickers, and with more products earmarked for the future, customers can create an impressive suite of eco-friendly stationery and promotional print.
Solopress Green uses paper stocks certified by the FSC, or Forest Stewardship Council. This ensures that all the material that goes into the paper stocks is either recycled or comes from sustainable woodland sources.
Just because these recycled paper stocks are ‘green’, it doesn’t mean they’re any less white! Modern de-inking processes and production methods produce recycled paper stocks that are bright, white, opaque, and smooth — often more so than paper made from virgin fibre.
In addition to responsibly sourced materials, the production and printing processes that go into the Solopress Green range are ‘carbon neutral’. With the help of international environmental consultant ClimatePartner, the carbon emissions resulting from manufacture and print are calculated and an equivalent contribution is made to projects in both Europe and the Amazon that reduce carbon pollution.
Through working with ClimatePartner, Solopress ensure its emissions are accurately calculated, that contributions are never double-counted and that the entirety of their carbon footprint is offset.
According to Solopress MD Simon Cooper:
“Solopress is already committed to sustainable print production, with a proud history of responsible procurement. Recycled stocks have long been part of our offering, and Solopress was one of the first UK printers to adopt environmentally-friendly, vegetable-based inks.
“This new range, however, with its focus on carbon offsetting, goes even further to minimise our impact on the planet and to allow Solopress customers to do the same.”
