Postcards and pancakes aren’t an obvious combination, unless you’re a new creative digital agency with some fresh ideas. SMACK director Lubna Keawpanna recounts their latest clever marketing caper…
We’re SMACK (http://smackagency.com), a digital start-up in London, specialising in website building and design, mobile and social apps and social media services. A few weeks ago, we participated in a workplace experiment which saw us borrowing the offices of UsCreates, a social change agency in London Bridge. During our time there, we engineered a novel networking idea to get to know our temporary neighbours a little better – SMACK Tuesday – our local business, free pancake eggstraganza.
With just a few days until Shrove Tuesday we set to work, planning our event. We also put in an order at Solopress.com, for some striking 100% yellow SMACK branded postcards with an introduction to ourselves and our services.
