Newlife Foundation is the UK’s leading children’s disability charity. We support thousands of families of disabled and terminally ill children through our Nurse Helpline – freephone 0800 902 0095 – and provision of specialist equipment.

To date we have funded more than £8.5m of disability equipment for over 6,000 children around the UK, provided emergency equipment loans for more than 100 children receiving end-of-life care and have a sensory and developmental aids resource of more than 100 Kit Boxes. In addition, Newlife has invested around £15m into furthering medical research into birth defects. Last year saw the opening, by the Princess Royal, of the Newlife Birth Defects Research Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.

Fundraising is obviously a very important component of the charity’s work and Solopress have helped produce roller banners for one of Newlife’s high profile campaigns, Get Crafty. Supporters are asked to make and sell handcrafted goods – and 100 per cent of their fundraising goes directly to fund specialist disability equipment.

Getting involved is simple. If they already belong to recognised group supporters can encourage their fellow craft enthusiasts to make a selection of goods and sell them at local sales. Newlife can put individual crafters in touch with like-minded people in their areas to organise joint sales and can also send stock directly to individuals or groups for ‘pop up’ mini sales.

We needed eye-catching pull-up banners for use at craft fairs and promotional events and Solopress provided exactly what we wanted, when we wanted it. Solopress staff were friendly and helpful, and the turnaround was refreshingly efficient.

Our stunning new banners are now a key feature of awareness-raising events, encouraging more people to get involved with the great work that the charity does.

  2. The banners are really nice and for a great cause. A lot of people who craft find that there houses begin to overflow with their supplies and with the things they create. Selling your creations for charity is a great idea.

  3. Get Crafty is such a great way to raise money for charity. So many people have craft based hobbies that they enjoy and it’s lovely to have a pastime that also benefits others.
    Great posters.
