Solopress has been in business for over 13 years now and we find these are the questions we get asked on a daily basis – so we thought we’d be as helpful as we can by popping the questions and their answers on the web for you to access anywhere!
What is your cheapest paper?
130gsm gloss or silk 110gsm bond. Ideal for those on a budget – this is the generally the weight used for the types of flyers that are posted through your door or delivered with local magazines and newspapers. (Just as a reference point, normal photocopier paper is around 80gsm.)
Is it cheaper for single colour printing?
It’s not just that we are lovely people (we are) but owing to the way modern printing machines are calibrated, we don’t charge any more for multi-colour printing than we would for just a single colour.
How quickly will I received my finished products?
Most products are turned around in under 24 hours and so it is highly likely that you’ll receive your products on the next working day, if you live in Central London, and within 48 hours to mainland UK. If you think your job is quite complicated or out of the ordinary, then please check how long it will take to print before ordering.
What will my printing look like?

Can you check my files are okay to print from?
Yes we are happy to review the type of file you have and advise whether it is suitable to print from. We won’t change any spelling or punctuation, we’ll go with whatever you’ve sent us – so please make sure it’s correct! Please be aware – we may put your order on hold if there is a problem with the quality of the image you have provided, and when we are concerned that the outcome won’t be the best it could. This is purely because we want your printing to be perfect for you!
Do you offer design services?
Yes we do but the costs on our website are for printing only. We do have an in-house team of fantastic designers and artworkers – just let us know if you need to use them and we can quote for the cost.
Is that your best price?
We always ensure we’re competitive in our prices, they’re some of the best prices around for great quality, speedy printing.
Is it cheaper to print single-sided business cards?
We print single and double sided for the same price!
Can you do embossing and foiling?
Both these techniques add a sense of luxury to your printing and yes we offer both. We suggest you to speak to one of our customer sales team to brief us about your specific project, as adding embossing and foiling can increase the overall lead time.
How do I pay?
There is a checkout section on our website but if you prefer to speak to our customer sales team to order, we’ll send you an invoice confirmation by email. You can pay by Paypal, Sage Pay, or over the phone!
