Cycling 300 miles in just 3 days! That’s the challenge set by four fearless friends at Solopress. when they embark on their mammoth bike ride from London to Paris next month…

Adam, Aron, Gary and Terence from Solopress – The 24hr Turnaround Printers have all been drinking protein shakes, cramming down iron tablets, training very hard and taking a few painful knocks in their stride as they prepare for their challenging ‘300 miles in 3 days’ cycle ride from London to Paris in May.

The lads have been training as much as possible over the past three months, riding between 50 to 100 miles in just one day and averaging roughly 15 miles per hour. Some have been a bit clumsy and fallen off their bikes. But their cuts, bruises and weary limbs will all be worth it in the end. As an added bonus, think of all the DIY jobs they’ve managed to wiggle out of at home during these strenuous evening and weekend training sessions around the Essex countryside.Solopress co-founder Aron training for his London to Paris charity bike ride

London to Paris

Our plucky riders are starting from London’s Greenwich Park, taking in some great sights across southern England and northern France, until they eventually end up at the finish line in Paris under the Eiffel Tower.

  • Day 1 – London to Calais
  • Day 2 – Calais to Amiens
  • Day 3 – Amiens to Paris

This long, arduous trip will require a healthy dose of stamina, fitness and willpower from our motivated bikers. Thankfully the friendly banter and team spirit among our Solopress crew will also come in handy. Just remember to bring your passports, fellas!

“I want to push myself till I can’t do anymore,” says Gary. “Being a smoker makes things a little harder. I really have push myself to keep up with some really powerful riders in our team, so it’s good fun to smash people who don’t smoke and have been riding for years. I think London to Paris will be the first step for me. I have already set my eyes on doing a few two-week tours riding through India and the USA. Basically I enjoy the pain.”

We wish our boys the best of British luck on their epic journey. And yes, we’ve already stocked up on a pharmacy’s worth of plasters and muscle pain relief sprays for their triumphant but tired return to Solopress HQ.
