Solopress customers, Smoke & Salt started with a simple idea developed by two chefs from different backgrounds, their aim was to provide a casual fine dining experience with a chance for them to branch out and explore different techniques.
Aaron Webster and Remi Williams met whilst working at the Shed Restaurant in Notting Hill where they would share the responsibility to creating modern seasonal menus. In August 2014 the pair decided to combine their twelve years of experience working with the likes of Heston Blumenthal and start out on their own.
After a series of highly successful pop-ups and private events Aaron and Remi embarked on a residency at Platform 1, in East Dulwich late last year. With the first year residency almost completed, they are on the look out for a new space and turned to Solopress for some marketing materials in order to spread the word about their fantastic dining revolution. Here’s what they had to say about their latest customer experience.
“We have used a couple of different design platforms for Business Cards and decided to try Solopress for the first time. Using the online software made creating our design swift and painless after playing around with it for a bit. We placed our order on a Monday, with Standard Delivery, and received the business cards on Wednesday. The turn-around time was great as it meant that, as a new and growing concept, we were able to share our brand with new guests as quickly as possible.”
From the offset, Smoke & Salt is a very straightforward business, it is run by food lovers for the enjoyment of other food lovers. Their main influences food-wise come from all over the world with an emphasis on the most simple and classic techniques of preservation in the form of smoking and curing.
Both Remi and Aaron have had varying degrees of experience with these methods and are actively enjoy promoting these as some of the best and most basic ways to enhance even the most humble ingredients.
