Typhoon Haiyan struck the Philippines on the 8th of November 2013. A storm 300 miles wide, carried on winds of over 195mph, devastated coastal areas leaving millions affected.

Over 5,000 people lost their lives to Typhoon Haiyan, and around 23,000 more have been left injured. Hundreds of thousands of people, including multitudes of children, have been forced out of their homes, left with no clean water, shelter or food.

Help Plan provide emergency relief by joining up with SMACK to raise money to aid children in the Philippines.

Every Little Elfs

SMACK approached Solopress and told us of their mission to assist Plan UK with an ingenious festive fundraiser to provide emergency relief and assistance to victims in the Philippines. Solopress were happy to get involved and provided stickers, address labels and flyers to ensure SMACK got the word (and the elfie hats) around!

All you have to do is dress like a Christmas Elf, and snap a Selfie! Share your picture and tag #elfie on your chosen social media and you’ll soon appear on SMACK’s Elfie website. Then the guys at SMACK will donate 50p towards Plan UK’s Filipino Children’s Fund!

After you’re done, pass on your ears and get your friends and family involved, the more #elfie pics, the more money goes to the Philippines aid.

  1. Solopress you are amazing, I arrived on the site to enter the Ipad competition but have perused the site and it is work like this that makes me see you are a force to be reckoned with! The Philippines disaster borne out over the media sent my family out to work in that we made our donations where we could through the channels we found, but you have taken it a stage further! I take ‘my hat’ off to you xxx
